It's the little things I know about Caitlyn Cameron.
She never tells anyone the big things.
Once, Caitlyn Cameron broke in front of me.
She leaned against the dirty bathroom stall
And clutched herself, like it was all that held her
Together.
"My sister cut herself last night."
And the one time Caitlyn Cameron trusted someone
Enough to see her break
That someone could not help her.
Sometimes when it rains,
Caitlyn Cameron will stand out in the water
And ask God why she wasn't good enough.
She says it feels good to blame someone for her cut-off angel wings.
She can still feel them desperately trying to take her some place better.
Her life is a variety of colors on a pallet.
She makes duct tape dresses for fun
And skips down the hallways when she's bored.
She sings Disney at the top of her lungs and makes memories
More often than she makes scars.
Caitlyn Cameron stands in front of the mirror too long
And says goodbye too often.
Her room is covered with black hoodies and pentagram necklaces
And magazine cut-out smiles,
But when friends come over, she cleans it up a bit too quick.
Caitlyn is the best actor I know.
"She has scars on her wrists, and I must be the worst
Sister in the world."

But I think she's just jealous.

A Letter to No One
The clock ticked against silence,
Upon the cemetery of a room.
Deep sighs weave through the air,
Meager warmth in compressed despair.
Moths fall prey to a musty lampshade,
An opened window to Night’s gloom.
Thoughts dance like ripples on water,
And clouds on the hiding moon.
A lullaby plays from the gentle sound,
Made by scratching pen on paper.
One story told too many times,
Is voiced from words created.
Though this time revived from lies,
A phoenix forms the ugly truth.
The pen rolls from the wooden desk,
Having served its final use.
Old dusty dolls and teddy bears,
Watched helplessly through glassy eyes.

I really need to think of a better title for this project. xD
Meet my best friend Caitlyn. This was so much harder to write because I know Caitlyn way better than Xavi, and I got stuck trying to describe her.
Caitlyn is amazing. Caitlyn is beautiful. Caitlyn is awesome, dirty minded, nerdy, flighty. Caitlyn is Caitlyn.
And that's a miracle.
